i am in a pack
snores farts snuggles twitches and warmth
all night
barks all-day
at moments i can’t explain
of course my hearing is not what it used to be
theirs 10000 times better
and love is not a very good word for it
it is more essential
survival
joy
loads of sighs
as we settle in for the long winter night
