a perfect night
the show was amazing and loud
and big time led to intermission
as i escaped back to starlight and sodium lights
a field i never knew as an undergraduate
intermural sports
ladies lacrosse
soccer
practice at 10 pm
what could be more
than this night
a moment of memory
lighting up the chemicals
nostalgia
for a college career that never existed
a loss greater than all losses before
and still another to follow
i welcome your thirst
i tip my hat to your creative output
and still wonder
about your silence
