You are currently viewing a red so bright

a red so bright

i want you to see things with a different eye
an absence
a longing
for embrace and touch and laughter
i wish you beside me for coffee
i’d smoke too if it made us closer friends
i open and i open and i open
and i am sad
you are black
like the seed
of a poppy
tiny
unspeaking
lost
in a shag carpet of your own mind
i am near
unreachable
a cry
for things i cannot fix for you
like a red so bright it would wake you up
a song so amazing you’d text me back
i wait
with others who love you
it is your move
take all the time
you
need
